About myself!

Hii, guys! Thanks for reading out my blog. Hope you love it! Happy reading!

Today, I would like to share my beginning with wordpress and my journey of writing. Let’s begin.

I’m Devangi, a proud Indian girl who is mostly daydreaming. I love to pen down any thoughts that pop up in my mind, creating poems whilst while and drawing or singing whichever prefers to my mood at the time. Devangi means “like a Goddess”, although I doubt there is anything God-like in me. I’m a happy introvert living in a family of six members, my parents, my two younger sisters and my youngest brother, me being the eldest sibling. Now about my blog at WordPress:

When I was studying in standard 8th, my father wanted me to do a course of ‘freelancing’ which I was merely interested in but I learnt it. That was in 2018 or might be 2017. I don’t remember really. While studying this course, I learnt that I had to open my own site to bring traffic towards it through which I could earn money. (Earning money while being a student studying in standard 8th, seriously?😒) That was what I thought, but thanks to it. Why?

That is what landed me to wordpress. So when I first opened my site, of course for business, I saw that most people here also used it as a platform for sharing about their hobbies. That motivated me and so I opened another site, my personal site for sharing my hobby of writing. And then I started writing blogs for my pleasure. But then, due to my studies, I wasn’t able to write because it took a lot of time to open my laptop and start writing and then publish it. And I also got mails continuosly from the wordpress community to upgrade my plan and whatsoever, etc. So I got totally fed up of it and deleted my site permanently at the end of 2018. But back then, during my journey of blogging, I found an amazing Indian blogger who had ideas similar to me. So I was following her blogs as they inspired me a lot. Whenever she posted a new blog, I would get an email. I had gotten an email of her latest blog: The Mystery Blogger Award. I got curious to know about it so I read it. And guess what! You should believe that this blog of her’s inspired me a lot to continue with my blogging experience. I read it and was shocked to see that she had nominated me for the award. As you can guess, I then built up another site with a new site address and started all over again. Also, I had no views or likes or comments on that blog address which is also a reason why I deleted that site. And now, I’m off to a great start. I’ve got amazing blogger friends, you might want to know about them, maybe:

Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end.
That's totally true in my situation!
That’s exactly my line!

She’s the one who inspired me to continue my blogs, check out her blogs, they are amazing: https://manviyaduvanshi.wordpress.com/

Now here, I’ve some of my blogger friends who are awesome writers, you might want to check them out:

They are superb writers who have helped me a lot through my journey. You will surely love to see and read their blogs.😍

Now, about my hobby. I started writing when I was in studying in standard 5th, I lost my grandfather as he died of a heart attack.😢 He was the one with whom I shared all my feelings, thoughts and so I shared a great bond with him. But when he went away, I had nobody to share my secrets, nobody with whom I could feel free. As of now, I have my best friend with whom I talk freely because I wholly trust her. But at that time, I had no friend as I was a shy, innocent and an introvert girl which I still am but not in front of my friends😊. And so I was all alone. So I started writing my feelings in a diary which I borrowed from my parents. As I wrote, I began to note my feelings in the form of poetries and so I started writing poetries on any topic which I thought of! Slowly, I started with writing stories and then articles. I loved it much and started developing my hobby. I also wrote many poems and articles and gave them to publish in my school magazine out of which majority of them were published. And then I would randomly write poems on any thought which came to my mind and showed it to my friends. And I was happy as they appreciated my leisure. I also took part in story writing competitions although I didn’t win because there were many good writers than me in my school. I also developed a hobby of reading storybooks especially fantasy, drama, horror and tragedy. And they inspired me to write. So, I’m not really good at writing stories and articles but you can definitely count on me for poems! And now, I’ve a really good set of friends whom I can count on, my lovely leisure time with writing and I’m doing well in my academics as well. So, I’m really very happy.😃😄 I chose to continue my hobby rather than having it to a smaller extent. On wordpress, I can pursue my hobby and also share it with thousands of people who appreciate me. So why not express my talent to the thousands rather than just being appreciated by my friends. And because of this purpose, I’ve started blogging my writings. I’ve also shared a poem written by me on one of my blogs: https://theextraterrestrialfromspace.wordpress.com/2019/01/21/a-little-heart-speaks%F0%9F%98%83/ And I will soon share my other poems too, in my future blogs.

I hope my blog will inspire others to pursue their hobbies as I’ve done. I’m feeling great that my blog could inspire others for having leisure in at least one thing. You should always pursue hobbies for leisure cause they give you happiness. So if you don’t have any hobby, find your interest and develop a hobby, since it will always keep you happy.😃 I hope you found my blog interesting. Do express your thoughts through likes, comments and follows. Also comment me what you think of this blog and do share experiences of your hobbies in the comments section below. I’ll be back soon with another new blog. Till then stay happy, keep safe and don’t forget to develop a hobby.😄

Thanks for reading!

    1. Haha, I can’t believe this….I had written this two years ago but don’t really feel like changing it since it’s a good and a definitely looooong ‘myself’. My kindergarten teacher would have been proud. Also, I’m happy to hear that I’m not the only eldest being troubled, yeah that pain still persists and will continue to do so😂 Glad to have you here, keep visiting!😊
