Hello, asters! (Yes I’m discovering new flower names for no reason) I have a few things on my mind and I will push them out slowly onto my platter for you to cherish it, but in the meantime, enjoy this poetry I was happy to write. This is actually a poetry contest by the power duo, Khushi and Kunjal from @Duodisseminators and I was tagged by the talented @Brooke (Low Expectations). I wasn’t going to do this because honestly it seemed like I couldn’t get any ideas but guess what! It struck me, at 3 am in the night. So enjoy!💭

Here is my entry:

Ah, I wanted to create some nice poster but my brain didn’t work much today. And so this is the only thing I could work out, plus it was my first time making posters because I am not really the artistic kind of creative.
Relieve, Retrospect, Relax
December, oh December! It comes and fills our lives with mixed fears. Hopeful, yet cautious, For the promising future. Introspection and thinking, On the blurred past. The rich are in a jest for the Merry Christmas times, While the poor struggle along with every last dime. Caring affectionate souls, Carry on their deeds. And in the freezing cold, The world seems to be bound. But of all what I love during these times, Are all the foggy nights daily at their prime. More time to sleep and much more to reflect, And ponder over the maze of the mind. It feels like it tells us to slow down and think, Before we carry on with the race again. -Devangi
This was what I could come up with, because it suddenly came to me that December is the month with the longest nights, and it is the month which is actually just telling us to stop, reflect and take a break before diving into the competition for the new year with enthusiasm. Tell me what do you think of this poem? Which part of December makes you await it with pleasure? Is it Christmas? Or is it because you can stay cozy in your blankets for long? That was all I had to treat you with today. Keep visiting. Also, Omnicron is on the rise. So make sure to not leave your homes unless necessary or if you do, look cool with a mask because un-maskers are definitely not cool nowadays.🙃 Stay healthy, happy and safe!
-Devangi
PS. I’m not tagging anyone because today is the last day for the contest and I absolutely don’t want to strain anyone for it. But if you have something up your sleeve, or if you even just want to write a poetry on this theme then you may very well consider yourself tagged by me. It’d be an honour to see your creations.

One more thing! 😅
The reason why I like your blogs is your writing style. You have a unique way of writing. You make a normal sentence in a magical way or should I say royal?!

Woah that’s a really very good compliment. I’m honoured to think that my writings feel royal to you.👸 Thank you so much. Comments like yours make my day:DD

Great poem!! I wonder if you have written anything based on health/wellness, I would love to share it someday (if you allow).

I haven’t tried writing on that topic. But now that you say it, I may try to give it a go. 🙂

Well my niche is actually very diverse. Even if you write on lungs, I can use that poem somehow, But I wonder what can be written on lungs anyway? haha
I am talking about lungs specifically, cause the blog I am working on at present is about lungs.
Would love to see your work in this direction.

Aster – A superb, tender, salty succulent with a complex sweet flavour with hints of iron and nut. Even large leaves are tender and delicious and remain so after flowering and well into autumn. The flower stalks, flowers, roots and seeds are not worth eating. 😆

You should start a guide on edible flowers :00
